Product history and connotation/ territory
The pasta alla norma is born in Catania, becoming soon thanks to its success, a widespread dish in all of Sicily.
Moreover, it is difficult to resist a dish of pasta with tomato sauce (generally macaroni) to which are added fried aubergines, grated salted ricotta and basil, to give that touch of Mediterranean freshness that characterizes the dish and balances the fried vegetables.
The name "alla norma" seems to have been given by a famous catanese playwright in honor of the "Norma", the famous work of the composer Vincenzo Bellini, countryman of the playwright.
Tasting instructions
It is recommended mainly with warm pasta dishes.

75% tomato sauce, aubergine, onion, extra virgin olive oil, salt, basil, acidifier: citric acid.
May contain traces of milk, celery and nuts (pistachio, almonds, walnuts).
